Dr. Turki Al-Fayea is a Consultant in Internal Medicine and Adult Medical Oncology at King Abdullah Specialized Children’s Hospital and King Abdulaziz Medical City under the Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs, Saudi Arabia. He also serves as Assistant Professor of Medicine and Oncology at King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences. Dr. Al-Fayea completed his training in Internal Medicine at Dalhousie University and specialized in Medical Oncology at the Cross Cancer Institute, followed by advanced fellowships in Thoracic and Gastrointestinal Oncology. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology by both the American Board of Internal Medicine and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. With more than two decades of clinical, academic, and research experience, Dr. Al-Fayea is widely recognized for his contributions to thoracic oncology, lung cancer research, and oncology education in the Middle East. He has held several leadership roles, including Fellowship Program Director for Adult Medical Oncology and Chair of the Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee at King Abdulaziz Medical City. A strong advocate for cancer awareness and professional education, he co-founded the Red Sea Lung Cancer Group and the Practice Changing Oncology (PCO) Annual Meeting, both of which have become important regional platforms for advancing oncology knowledge and collaboration. Dr. Al-Fayea has authored and co-authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and multicenter studies in lung cancer, gastrointestinal oncology, immunotherapy, and precision medicine. His work has been published in leading international oncology and medical journals, contributing to advancements in cancer management and clinical practice across the region and internationally. He is an active member of several international professional societies, including American Society of Clinical Oncology, European Society for Medical Oncology, and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Throughout his career, he has received multiple awards recognizing excellence in clinical care, research, leadership, and medical education.
